The MasterChef Experience

Welcome to my MasterChef journey. This has been an enriching part of my culinary adventure. Being an entrepreneur, a home cook, and a working mom, I am used to cooking under pressure and figuring out what to cook for my family with just a quick glance at the content in my fridge. These are traits that every chef will develop over time. The truly unforgettable side of being in a big cooking reality show is really getting to know people. Here, I have been with like-minded, passionate people who share the same vision as me, and this really made me feel at home. The camaraderie that you see on screen is real. None of that was dramatized for TV.

My passion has always been to discover new cultures and new ways to cook, and this experience with MasterChef has been invaluable. Singapore, being a true melting pot of cultures and traditions, really allows me to express that passion in its truest sense, and Masterchef was a microcosm of that experience. For this, I am grateful to the people who have supported me and have pushed me along when inertia set in. I am also grateful to MediaCorp for such a wonderful and educational experience.

To my fellow contestants, some of whom are still on the program, I say a big thank you for sharing that experience with me. These friendships we have built will last, and some of them are going places. I can’t wait to share some of these plans. So stay tuned!
