Indian Red Onion Pickle

A simple red onion pickle brings a hit of brightness to any savoury meal. Try this Indian-style onion pickle - simple to make but with a unique flavour thanks to Himalayan black sea salt.

This dish is a great accompaniment to Tandoori Chicken, or any savoury main dish that you’re looking to serve up!

 

INDIAN RED ONION PICKLE

Makes about 1.5 cups


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup red onions, thinly sliced

  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves, minced

  • 2 teaspoons lime juice

  • 1/4 teaspoon Himalayan black sea salt

 


Combine the ingredients together in a bowl and mix well - the onions will soften a bit as they sit.

Allow to sit for at least a few hours, preferably overnight. Store in the fridge for up to a week.
